Qruck focuses on the stainless steel forging to produce quality Storz Fire Suction Hose Coupling. And our stainless steel forging Storz Fire Suction Hose Coupling own higher product strength, higher working pressure, and longer usage life. And they are used widely in Chemical plants firefighting, refinery firefighting, food & pharmaceutical industries, special gas transportation, long-term outdoor facilities without maintenance and especially for high pressure and high-temperature environments.
Storz couplings, also known as fire hose connections, are a type of symmetrical quick coupling commonly used in firefighting and industrial applications where a fast and reliable connection for hoses or pipes is essential. Named after their inventor, Carl August Guido Storz in 1882, the Storz coupling system has become an industry standard due to its ease of use and efficiency.
The design of Storz couplings is ingeniously simple and highly functional. Two Storz heads can be quickly joined by aligning the lugs and rotating them about a quarter-turn. This simplicity in design ensures that the couplings can be connected and disconnected rapidly, which is crucial during emergency operations such as firefighting, where every second counts.
A typical Storz coupling consists of a male and a female part, both of which have an identical locking head with interconnecting hooks or lugs. The lugs are spaced symmetrically on the flange of the coupling head, and a rubber or synthetic seal is seated within the female part to ensure a watertight connection when the parts are joined.
